Pastor: The Pastor is the leader of The Adoni Spiritual Formation Center and has
general oversight over all of its affairs. As expressed in scripture, as the Pastor follows
the Lord, the church should follow the Pastor.
Elders: The Elders Ministry is the governing board of The Adoni Spiritual Formation
Center. The Pastor is one of the Elders, serves as the chairperson, and is responsible
for appointing the other Elders. All decisions regarding the direction of The Adoni
Spiritual Formation Center are made by the Elders. The Elders Ministry will practice Spirit-
led unity, meaning all of the Elders must agree on an issue before any action will be
taken.
Core Ministries: The Core Ministries of the Adoni Spiritual Formation Center are those
basic ministries that are essential to its operation. The Deacons Ministry is responsible
for assisting the Pastor as requested. There will be 1 Deacon for every 10 disciples. The
Operations Ministry is responsible for managing the day-to-day processes of the center
and for maintaining all properties. The Music Ministry is responsible for all music-related
activities of the center. Spiritual Formation Groups will be set-up to enable small groups
of disciples to meet on at least a monthly basis to discuss their spiritual practices and
their results and to discuss the challenges and issues in the participants’ lives. A
maximum of 8 people can be in each Spiritual Formation Group. The Leadership
Institute will run twice a year and will be a half-day seminar that will provide the basic
information required to prepare disciples for spiritual growth.
Permanent Ministries: The Permanent Ministries are the basic categories of ministries
within which all other ministries will be placed. Youth Ministries will provide ministries to
the core categories of youth. A Child Development Ministry will be set-up to provide
ministry to pre-school aged children. An After-school/Summer Ministry will be set-up to
provide ministry to school-aged children during after-school and summer hours. A Rites
of Passage Ministry will be established for high school-aged teenagers. Adult Ministries
will provide ministries specifically for adults. The core adult ministries will be Healing
Circles for men and women where they will have a chance to deal with issues from their
past. Social Action Ministries will be set-up as needed to deal with specific social issues
of interest to disciples. Arts Ministries will be set-up to provide children and adults with
the opportunity to learn and practice creative talents.

will be organized and disbanded based on the interests of disciples and the completion
of the tasks for which they were created. As they are developed, they will be placed within

center by contributing 10% our tithes and offerings to their work. We will also support the
work of our missions through other means.
